So, I picked up this book ‘Subversive Cross Stitch’ here by Julie Jackson a while back and fell head over heels for the concept of making cross stitches with a bit of a bite. Everyone has probably seen a cross stitch pillow of a young girl or landscape at their granny’s house, but with this book you’ll be able to make small cross stitch pieces that say “Shut Your Whore Mouth”, “Pussy Got Me Dizzay”, “Shut Your Piehole” and so on. Probably not your run-of-the-mill granny pillow cover.
I tried it out and now have my own cross stitch piece reminding me and whoever else is in my apartment to ‘Chill The Fuck Out’. You’ve gotta love it!
