Basco5 and Oscabs Journey

One of the very visible streetartists on the walls of Copenhagen is moving inside the gallery/showroom Helvetikat in Holsteinsgade 2. The artist is Basco5 and his motives are humoristic, warm and yet a bit gloomy.

The street is normally his canvas but at this special occasion you get the possibility not only to see new and old works, but also a possibility to see the works without being torn and damaged.
Logically enough streetart fades with time first and foremost because of the changeable canvas, but in the case of Basco5 also because of his popularity – people simply try to take down his posters to bring them home for decorating their walls. So in the rooms of the Helvetikat and the spirit of its owners’ passion for streetart you can see new and old untouched works of Basco5 which in my opinion is highly recommendable.

The show is called Oscabs Journey and runs from the 2nd of April to the 4th of May. To get an idea of the Basco5 universe (if you haven’t already met it on the streets) here are some pictures for inspiration, enjoy.
