Trailerpark diary – day 5
Finally our wonderful festival is alive and kicking!! Today we have been busy finalising our many building and art projects, as well as our two stages, [...]
A couple of days ago I went on a date, which rarely happens! First I have to tell you guys, that I’m quite impressionable, but now, after having worked on these great impressions, I’m sure: This was one of the best dates I’ve ever been on!
To make a long story short, my colleague Ditte and I headed against Jutland, specifically Kolding, to see the graduation exhibition of class 2010 from a design school situated in Kolding. In business lingo seeing this exhibiton is called to go on a “design date“.
At ArtRebels we’re quite fond of students from this Jutlandic design school, Designskolen Kolding, so we didn’t get surprised when we entered the exhibition at the museum Trapholt and saw one great graduation project after another.
But – there is one project that I’d like to highlight – the graduation project “Table Tales” by Signe Kjær Pedersen.
With inspiration from the immortal literary classic “Alice in Wonderland” Signe has created a number of illustrations for Royal Copenhagen’s classic semi-blonde service.
This service drags you directly into the notion of the world of fairy tale-ish universes. Whether you’re a child, a childish soul (or even a cynical adult!) you’ll get the feeling, that you’re there yourself, at the mad tea party.
Congrats to Signe and the rest of class 2010 from Designskolen Kolding with the graduation, I’m just waiting for this great service to reach the stores!
