Having the confidence to pursue your interests takes some measure. Turn that interest into a successful business and you’re sorted. Ingrid Munch Jørgensen, co-founder of Anywho and the brand new webshop concept marchémarché tells us how it’s done. 

Tell us about yourself – who are you / where did you grow up / what did you study?
My name is Ingrid Munch Jørgensen and I grew up north of Copenhagen in Charlottenlund. I’ve been studying psychology and economics at CBS and I’m currently writing my master thesis in Marketing Communications Management. I began modelling when I was 13, which is how I got into the fashion scene. This led me to start the blog Anywho and things have gone from strength to strength since.

What inspires / motivates you?
It motivates me to travel. To experience new cultures and meet different people is inspiring. When I’m traveling it feels like I get fresh new energy. I’ve lived in both Madrid and Sao Paulo for 6 months and I hope I can live for shorter periods in new cities for the rest of my life.

How did you get to where you are today? Any tips on making business work?
In my case, when there’s something I really want I always go for it and work hard to make it work – I don’t hesitate too much. But that’s not only business related. It can be everything from sports to studies etc. Also I think it’s important to know what you’re good at and in what areas you’re inexperienced. In the areas where you’re not an expert, there’s never any harm to ask an expert for advice.

What’s new with you? Tell us about marchémarché?
marchémarché is a project we (Anywho) and Looklab have collaborated on. The site features a weekly deal from Anywho and Looklab’s favourite brands and websites. We thought there was a need for a website like this with a strong focus on offering fashion and lifestyle products.

I would invite all of my friends and family on a nice adventure/travel several times a year the rest of my life, hehe!

I love disco and deep house/minimal. But in the morning I would probably prefer a classic disco track!
