Artrebels daring playlist

daring

Whoa! What an eclectic lot of music chosen by our office this week. Our theme? Well after watching Felix ‘balls of steel’ Baumgartner hurtle down 24 miles to earth from space, we’re feeling in the mood to be BRAVE.

1. Boards of Canada – Dayvan Cowboy (as chosen by Cara)

“This is a brilliant song I’ve been listening to almost on repeat for the past eight years. The video features footage of the original daredevil, Joseph Kittinger, who jumped through space way back in 1955 without the aid of a pressurised/heated capsule, in a very early space suit AND without radio assistance. Inspiring stuff”

2. Phil Collins – Easy Lover (as chosen by ArtRebels CEO Carla Cammilla)

“This just reminds me of happy childhood days, My girlfriend and dancing like noone is watching!”

3. Bonnie Tyler – Holding out for a hero (as chosen by Tony)

“A cheesy classic”

4. Outkast – B.O.B (as chosen by Morten L)

“This gets me and the rest of the world out of bed. How can you not feel motivated and energetic when listening to this song?”

5. Destiny’s Child – Survivor (as chosen by Simon)

“They are all so brave”

6. Van Halen – Jump (as chosen by Martin)

“Because that JUMP must have taken some grande COJONES (coming from a guy who has skydived)… and the fact that the jump Felix made probably is the highest jump ever made in the history of the world”

7. Run DMC – It’s Like That video remix (as chosen by Renata)

“if these guys can make such insanely awesome dance moves back in those days, then everything is possible”

8. The Wu-Tang Clan – C.R.E.A.M (as chosen by Tony)

“If I were to plunge head-first into a 24 mile dive, I’d want to listen to something catchy with power and aggression”
