blf7

This autumn marks the 8th anniversary of the annualFestival of Lights, held in Berlin for 12 nights every October. When the evenings get dark the lights come out to play, with multiple instillations taking over the German capital’s famous landmarks. Each year, a wealth of both local and international artists contribute.

Expect to see more than 70 light instillations, 20 light performances and a roster of cultural events surrounding the theme of light. See the Berliner Dom take on a wintery outfit, a four foot high interactive globe from British artist Chris Squire, and world famed light instillations from Philipp Geist.

The festival runs from Wednesday 10th until Sunday the 21st of October and is best caught after the sun goes down, between 7pm and midnight. Best of all, it’s is free for everyone, so hop a bus, train or plane and try to make it there.
