Introducing GENERATION i

generationi

We live in a society where borders have become a thing of the past. These old lines on dusty maps remain merely an administrative factor. Denmark is experiencing the turmoil that comes with being a multicultural society and it may seem as if we still have a long way to go, but we, the people, are becoming increasingly united. ArtRebels thrives in this new society of ours and we think you should too. Let us introduce to you GENERATIONi.

GENERATIONi is all about uniting everyone who lives in Denmark. Don’t think you’re about to get acquainted with yet another clichéd movement preaching peace, love and unity – GENERATIONi is different – very different! Allow us to explain.

One of the most important things in a multicultural society is respecting and understanding the diversity of your fellow citizens. We must embrace the differences along with the qualities of all individuals no matter their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, education or profession. This, however, is not easily achieved, often because there are still so many prejudiced thoughts floating around out there.

GENERATIONi tackles prejudice head on. Its sole purpose is to advocate for openness and tolerance. Seven strong founders have collaborated with ArtRebels for this project which includes an inspirational webpage as the main focal point.

Launched today, you can now visit generationi.me and view uplifting videos and inspiring blogs from various Danish individuals including actor Pilou Asbæk, pianist Bent Fabricius Bjerre, author Sara Blædel, football player Mathias Zanka Jørgensen, musician Johan Olsen and comedian Jonas Schmidt. They all promote the simple message of being more open-minded, more tolerant and more united as a society.

It sounds easy, but it’s not. And that’s why it’s now your turn.

Broaden your horizons.

Show some love.
