It’s not just a name – Trailerpark Festival brings together a whole heap of talented artists from Europe, hands them a crumbling trailer and challenges them to recreate it into something awesome. And by awesome, we mean awesome. Take a sneak peak at what some of the artists have done so far and read about what their works-in-progress are going to become.

SHFT (DK)
SHFT are no stranger to Trailerpark. In fact, they’ve been coming every year since the festival started. This year, SHFT are busy painting a giant canoe with stripes – inspired by World War One camouflage – painted so that submarines would be unable to identify which direction boats were going. The canoe will become an outdoor light installation hung from trees in the Trailerpark Festival courtyard.

Petruska Miehe-Renard // Gustav Holst Kurtzweil // Mikkel Bang Bang
The boys have been busy building a whole village onto the outdoor Trailerpark Festival steps. Their only guide is the concept of a fusion between shanty town and Spanish mountain village. Other than that, they are largely letting it grow as they go. The ‘houses’ will be lit up and the ‘village square’ will act as a brilliant place for a hang out.

Birds Walk (DK)
The beautiful duo are busy creating what will be a magic gold box which will project an exclusive dance performance onto the ceiling.

Bildfobi (SE)
The Swedish duo are building their trailer up using the other artist’s scraps and left-overs. The trailer will include a small look-out tower which festival goers can climb up to get a better view of the whole Trailerpark.

Barbara (DK)
Barbara is joining the Bildfobi boys this year, writing some pretty poetic words on the inside of the trailer. The concept is that, like a diamond, whilst the outside of a person may have a thousand facets, inside is where the real self is.

Softcore (NL)
Softcore are a trio of creatives to be reckoned with. They’ve been handed the task of making the AiAiAi DJ stage and boy does it look good so far. They’ve taken the headphone brand’s distinctive colours and plan to incorporate them into a sound wave pattern that will line the walls.

Hvid:underlig
How about taking some time out from the crowds to sit in a giant camera? Yes please. The good people behind Hvid:underlig are busy creating a living space with a difference. We can’t wait to climb into the massive lens and take a seat inside.
