Vikte Ežiukas (Vikte Little Hedgehog) is a Lithuanian illustrator sharing her world views through comic, colorful and honest art works. Inspired by dreams and everyday life, her works are dominated by insightful and smile-provoking images and ideas. She treats our eyes with intense colors and lovable characters.

She is currently working on comics for one of Klaipeda’s cultural portals, creating crazy puppets for a performance of “Little Red Riding Hood” and, together with a friend, making masks.

.

She calls herself a little hedgehog and we were curious to find out why, so ArtRebels decided to ask her.

“It was my dad’s idea. There was a hedgehog living under our balcony and I saw it almost bite off my dad’s finger. I was little and thought that it was a monster. Jokes and stories begun to develop about the hedgehog, that actually hedgehogs are really awesome. And they are.”

One of her concepts for works were creating badges from beer bottle caps. We asked her about this idea. “It was more like an experiment and only later I realized it has something to do with ecology, which is great too. I was trying to use every objects and found lots of bottle caps. Apparently my friends drink a lot of beer…”
