For the Paper Cuts exhibition in October 2011 at Vesterbro Showroom in Copenhagen three talented and selected artists were asked to make two artworks with the theme Force of Nature. Each artwork has been made into a limited edition of 25 posters and are all numbered and signed by the artists.
Naomi Elliot (born 1987) is a freelance illustrator educated from Goldsmiths College, University of London with a BA in Media & Communication who lives and works in London. Since she finished her education she has been working with many different exciting projects.
Augustus is one of two pieces that Naomi has created for the Paper Cuts – Force of Nature. Both artworks are inspired by the wind. Naomi enjoys creating little narratives and characters and the two pieces each represents the different sides of the wind. Naomi explains that, “Augustus is the angry, gusty wind who blows through the streets stealing hats and carrying along the storm clouds and rain. He isn't a very happy chap and is focused on causing as much havoc as he can…”
