Title: Vand
For the Paper Cuts exhibition in October 2011 at Vesterbro Showroom in Copenhagen three talented and selected artists where asked to make two artworks with the theme Force of Nature. Each artwork has been made into a limited edition of 25 posters and are all numbered and signed by the artists.
Kasper Pyndt (born 1987) is a graphic designer and illustrator from Copenhagen. Kasper studies Visual Communication at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design and this is one of two pieces Kasper has made for the Paper Cuts – Force of Nature. The pieces have the titles ”Ild” (Fire) and ”Vand” (Water) and about them Kasper explains: ”I chose my posters to be about contrasts: First and foremost in the mere content of the posters, fire and water, but also in the way the hand-drawn shapes mixed with the static vectors. I felt that merging the organic with the static stressed the organic shapes and brought focus to the “forces” within the pieces.”
